Venus Trap
The film chronicles an after noon at a local Coop shop, where all the flowers in the shop gain consciousness and are able to talk and sing. The flowers overhear the conversations of Nine People shopping in the store, that each discuss the meaning of image manipulation. The conversations are the main entertainment for the flowers. Yet, the flowers encounter a terrible rumour about the reason of their existence, and three flowers try to make sense of their world choosing one myth as their believe.
Characters in order of apperance
Rose
A glamorous pink flower, that everyone believes to be the most popular one - she is always in stock and people love to get hold of her. She is best friends with Lily.
CHOROUS
The entirety of the flower stands, who all sing together about the fact that flowers just bloom without comparison, that images do not affect them, in Disney style.
TULIP
A poised yellow flower, that has a magical charm, she is not always available and a little shy. She feels pretty excluded from the groups but tries to become friend with rose.
OLIVIA
Olivia is the girlfriend of Noah, they have been together for 10 years and have one child. She lost herself in her relationship, and is seeking for a truer self, but what would that be outside of being a mother?
NOAH
Noah is the boyfriend of Olivia, they have been together for 10 years and have one child. He is pretty content with his life, but states to get annoyed at Olivia for her feminist rants.
EMMA
Emma is a young student, she lives in a flat she share with four other people. She just started an internship at a social media department of a big company.
LEON
Leon is a friend of Lucas, but he is also secretly in love with him. He never was as obsessed with someone, and he constantly day dreams about a potential life in which he is married, successful and highly sought after couple.
LUCAS
Lucas is not interested in Leon, but is very lonely so he is looking for company and Leon is always available. Lucas knows about Leons obsession but does not try to give in, as he himself is in love with someone else.
LILY
A mysterious flower, that within herself knows that the world is dark and she seeks refuge in rumours trying to dig deeper in to the meaning why they are being positioned in the store. Lily’s best friend is Rose, but does not know how to deal with Tulip.
MIA
She is an artist trying to make her career work, but she seems to be totally lost and when she goes to the shop she gets overwhelmed by the choice in the store and feels overpowered by the force of the world. ELIJAH Elijah is a bookish person that is obsessed with visual cultures. He loves new forms of image making but people find him repulsive as he does not confirm to the aesthetic of academia.
CHARLOTTE
Charlotte is the best friend of Sophia, she is proud she self made it from a poor background. She however, has money troubles again but hides from Sophia.
SOPHIA Shophia is the best friend of Charlotte, she grew up uber wealthy but hides it from everyone even Charlotte. She is embarrassed about this and hates when people judge her for this.
